This collaborative website is developed and maintained by Jon Jaroker to capture family histories as meaningful and engaging stories describing life in Czarist Russia and the U.S.S.R.
The stories are written for the benefit of the descendants of the Yaroker families from Kaniv and the Schwartz and Kolik families from Yurevichi.
Descendants may register to access the private family sites. Public Beacons are stories, translated into numerous languages, that assist relatives in finding this website when they search the internet for their family names. These stories are organized by families, towns and events.
